Honolulu is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Hawaii. It is the county seat of the consolidated City and County of Honolulu. Hawaii is a major tourist destination, and Honolulu, situated on the island of Oʻahu, is home to the majority of Hawaii's diverse population, as well as a major gateway into the United States. The city is also a major hub for international business, military defense, as well as famously being host to a diverse variety of east-west and Pacific culture, cuisine, and traditions.
In a deleted scene of Lilo & Stitch animated before the 2001 September 11 attacks, Stitch hijacks a Boeing 747 from Tsunami Airlines to fly through the city of Honolulu and chase down Captain Gantu to rescue Lilo, causing damage to buildings in the process. The city did appear later in the franchise in the Lilo & Stitch: The Series episode "Yapper", as the main characters visit the city itself.
