Despair is a deleted character from the 2015 Disney/Pixar animated feature film Inside Out, which could have been one of the emotions that should have appeared along with Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust.

He was also going to be one of the 27 emotions that were added to the film. But some time later it was eliminated.
Originally, this character was going to be a male emotion.
His main color was indigo, which went on to be used for Ennui in Inside Out 2.
The personality of this character is similar to the one that Sadness had in the film, as they are both pessimistic, anxious, and very depressed.
