Al inicio, el personaje principal vive una vida simple en la aldea principal de este reino, en donde vivía y trabajaba en la Zapatería con su madre Miranda, pero luego de conocer al Rey Roland II, que necesitaba un par de zapatillas reales, él y Miranda se enamoraron a primera vista y se casaron pronto. Ahora que Sofía era una princesa, estaba explorando el reino desde un nuevo punto de vista.
La habitación de las princesas/príncipes tiene un asiento de ventana, rincón de lectura, cama con dosel, área de juego, un armario lo suficientemente grande para albergar miles de trajes y accesorios (Sofia solo tiene siete coronas, la más reciente siendo la tiara de Derby de Amber), y una cuerda de campana para el servicio. Sofía, Amber, y James tienen habitaciones decoradas diferentemente, aunque la estructura de sus cuartos es casi idéntica. Sin embargo, Amber y Sofía tienen múltiples armarios que usan para guardar sus libros, mientras que James usa una librera.
Hay dos grupos de jardines que pueden estar conectados. Uno es el jardín en frente del palacio, que fue construido junto a pequeños arbustos y plantas, algunas de las cuales son usadas para las pociones de Cedric. Contiene huertos usados por los sirvientes y Clover. El segundo es un gran laberinto de setos detrás del castillo, en donde Sofía tiene un jardín secreto que usa para pasar el rato mientras no este en su cuarto.
El mundo está lleno de caballos voladores, el primero de los cuales Sofía ha visto personalmente, tirando de los carros voladores hasta la Academia Real.

Pueblo Dunwiddie[]
Dunwiddie es una aldea localizada cerca del castillo, en donde Sofía y su madre vivían antes de moverse al castillo. Es también el hogar de Ruby, Jadem Lucinda y sus familias. La aldea incluye una panadería, una escuela, un parque y varias tiendas y residentes, y es comúnmente visitado por los miembros de la familia real.
Aldea Summerset[]
La Aldea Summerset es la otra aldea en Encantia que ha sido visitada en la serie, y fue visitada por Sofía en el episodio "Finding Clover". Es distintiva por sus torres altas de tejado verde.
Cultura[]
Encantia tiene una variedad de festividades, uno de ellos siendo el Festival de la Cosecha, que se celebra en el reino. El siguiente es el Desfile de Vuelo, en donde todas las princesas de todos los reinos se unen y vuelan a través de la noche en carretas decoradas en el solsticio de verano. Otro, menos oficial es el Picnic Tres-Reinos, en donde la realeza de Encantia se junta con la realeza de Khaldoun y Wei-Ling para juegos y fiestas, algunas veces trayendo huéspedes. Wassailia es una festividad importante de invierno, en donde las candelas son encendidas y los regalos intercambiado. Pinos y sauces se deben arrancar. Halloween también existe, aunque no es algo tan grande, junto al Día de las Madres. Hay también festivales en Encantia, siendo el Festival de las Hojas y el Festival de la Amistad en la primavera, el Desfile de Vuelo en el verano, y el Festival de la Cosecha en otoño. También está el Aniversario Real, que se celebra en los terrenos del reino.
Muchos eventos deportivos hay en Encantia, tales como croquet, boliche, bádminton, carreras de caballos, fútbol, volleyball, El Derby Volador, que fue fundado en Encantia, cacería de zorros, sillas musicales, y captura la corona. Otros deportes jugados incluyen tenis, un tradicional juego real. Los niños de la Realeza y la Aldea pueden competir en otras competiciones, tales como carrera Entrenadora y Dazzleball.
Símbolos[]
La bandera de Encantia es mostrada en "The Amulet and the Anthem", cuando Sofía y sus amigas, Ruby y Jade cantan el Himno de Encantia. Es mostrado de nuevo en "Holiday in Enchancia".
El escudo de armas real más importante (o "bandera real" como lo llama Miranda) tiene un pegaso blanco (o caballo alado) en un telón de fondo rojo y azul enmarcado por un hilo de oro.
Otros símbolos de Encantia son los Lirios de Pascua, que decoran las paredes y las cortinas por todo el castillo, así como rosas y diamantes, que también se encuentran en la decoración del castillo. Aves, sabuesos, luces, y soles también son vistos como símbolos. Decoraciones de la vid están por todas partes, agregando más importancia al renacimiento del reino. Puede que hayan otros símbolos reales, pero aún no se han visto.
Curiosidades[]
En la sala de banquetes, donde Sofía tiene problemas al saber que tenedor usar, hay seis tenedores, cucharas, y cuchillos para escoger.
El Rey Roland II y la Reina Miranda han visto y visitado la guarida/taller de Cedric, vistos en el episodio "The Big Sleepover" y en cuanto a la llave que abre la puerta, sólo el propio Cedric y, después de un descubrimiento reciente, Sofía saben donde se encuentra (está en un compartimiento secreto en el dedo de una de las gárgolas). Sofía luego guió a Amber a la guarida, que resultó muy útil para Amber cuando pidió la ayuda de Cedric en "Princess Butterfly" y "Two Princesses and a Baby".
Los animales del bosque han ayudado a las princesas por años, pero solo con la esperanza de ser alimentados a cambio. Construyeron un pasadizo secreto a través del castillo para llegar a diferentes cuartos e irse del castillo por los terrenos. Luego que Sofía alimentara a los animales que la ayudaron, ahora la ayudan más. Los animales de Sofía solían trabajar para Amber, pero la llegada de Sofía como nueva princesa les hizo reasignarse a ella debido a su experiencia.
Nombrar criaturas o personas en base a joyas parece algo popular. Los ejemplos incluyen a Amber, Ruby, Jade, y Jasper, Onyx y Opal.
El Castillo de Encantia incluye los característicos colores de la familia real en su diseño. Algunas de las torres tienen tejas púrpuras (para Sofía), otras tejas rosas rojizas (para Miranda), una tiene tejas verdes (para James), las torres más altas tienen tejas azules (para Roland), y todas ellas son decoradas con puntas amarillas (para Amber).
Encantia parece ser mantenido en muy alta consideración por los otros reinos ya que varios personajes en el show han hablado muy favorablemente de él y Slickwell declaró que el trabajo de Steward de Encantia es el mejor de todos.
Encantia es un amplio reino con muchas áreas variadas, incluyendo dos poblados que están en sus tierras.
El Castillo de Encantia fue diseñado en base a un castillo antiguo con su estructura horizontal y numerosas torres puntiagudas. Su interior también parece de influencia francesa, con los diseños de fleur de lys en las cortinas y el salón de baile parecido al de Beauty and the Beast.
