Ren Tobari (戸張レン Tobari Ren^?) is a member of Ryoma Mogami's Digimon Hunter team.

Appearance[]

Ren is a young teenage boy with light skin, straight dark blue hair and brown eyes. He wears a turquoise shirt under a brown sweater with a grey hood, a large pocket at the bottom front, a square emblem with red lines and white and blue triangles on the left breast, and a round blue patch on the left sleeve. He also wears yellow pants that end just above his ankles, grey socks and brown shoes with khaki soles. On his head, he wears an orange and maroon paperboy hat.

Description[]

Ren is a Hunter of rare Digimon who will do anything to capture his targets. He disregards human safety if it means he can capture a Digimon and not caring if anyone gets hurt. Even though he respects Mikey and Ewan, he has no respect for Tagiru.

Etymologies[]

Ren Tobari (戸張レン)

Name used in Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time and related materials.

Ja: Tobari (戸張, Tobari^?). A Japanese surname meaning "open door".
Ja: Ren (レン, Ren^?). A Japanese name, used for both boys and girls.

Story[]

Ren also tricked Tagiru by saying he will help him find Blossomon, but he really only wants them to buy him time to capture Blossomon. When he finds Blossomon, he orders Dracmon to attack it even though a student is still attached to the digimon. Later Mikey orders OmniShoutmon to draw Blossomon's attack towards them but Ren and the others get away.

Collection[]

Ren prefers to collect Digimon who are unique and rare. He has collected one hundred Digimon, but only nineteen are shown in the anime.
