Raidenmon is a Machine Digimon. It is heavyweight-class Digimon equipped with electromagnetic weapons. It was created as a shooting-type, unlike Raijinmon, who similarly uses lightning as its energy. Although it is not as adept in close combat, it defends itself using its thick armor, and counterattacks with its left arm.[2] It is devoted to destroying its targets, and will go as far as using suicide attacks for that sake.[3]
Attacks
- Gilead Plant (Kirlian Plant[4]): Causes a corona discharge brought upon by a 45000-volt electric attack. In Digimon World 3 it recovers a large portion of its health and boosts its physical strength by 50% for one attack[please confirm].
- Rising Sun: Fires ultra-high temperature spheres from the gun barrels on both of its shoulders.
- Big Charge Bomb (Discharge Bomb): Counters attacks by launching a bomb from its tail.
Design[]
Raidenmon's cannons are inscribed with the letters "VD". This is changed to "MG" in the North American and European releases of Digimon World 3/Digimon World 2003, possibly due to VD's use in English as an acronym for venereal disease.
Etymologies[]
