Volk (New Earth)

Volk, from the volcanic fields of Maag, is a being made up of living lava encased within a shell of organic rock. When he works with other Lanterns Volk uses a protective shield to prevent his high body heat from affecting those Lanterns. Igneous Man, a bounty hunter, is from the same sector as Volk.^[1]

Volk helped Green Lantern Xas defend his home planet from the invading Spider Guild.^[2]

Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
