— Osiris src

Osiris is the god of the afterlife, the dead, resurrection, and life in ancient Egyptian religion. He was the first pharaoh and is also the ruler of the Egyptian Underworld.[1]

Earlier life

With his wife Isis he fathered the falcon god Horus, and in a case of adultery with his other sister, Nephthys, sister-wife of Set, he fathered the jackal god Anubis.[2] Osiris was later killed by his jealous brother Set, the pieces of his body scattered to the wind and then reunited by Isis and resurrected, thus becoming a resurrection god.[3]

Osiris would also later be responsible for imprisoning the Lord of Order and disciple of Thoth, Nabu, within the Helmet of Fate at his request.[4]

Fateful Threads

After learning of his son's defeat by the current incarnation of Doctor Fate, Osiris descends to Earth seeking retribution for the perceived transgressions against the gods. Initially, Osiris animates mummies in an effort to locate Doctor Fate.[5]

However, he later confronts Kent Nelson and defeats him, only to discover that Kent is not the true bearer of the helm, which disappoints him. Osiris then targets Khalid and attacks him at his family's home. Swiftly overpowering Khalid, Osiris receives revelations about his son's treachery from Bastet, along with the archangels who inform him that he is a champion of the goddess and favored by Allah. Pretending to be annoyed, Osiris delivers his judgment and decides to spare Khalid's life before departing.[4]
