Munchukk was the Darkstar of the planet Urrigen.
History
Munchukk was one of the Darkstars sent to Maltus to stop the rogue Green Lantern and Ferrin Colos's squad from attacking the Triarch, three gods who were ravaging the planet. Orders from the Controllers said to let the Triarch fulfill their goal, and the Darkstars never question orders. But Colos was the exception, and Munchukk's group had to fight their rogue comrades.[1] Eventually, the battle escalated to a confrontation with the Green Lantern Corps.[2] In the end, the Darkstars, the Green Lantern Corps, and the L.E.G.I.O.N. uncovered the true origin of the Triarch and defeated the mad Controller Daalon.[3]
Shortly after, director Huvah Jeddigar assigned Munchukk to recruit Ferrin Colos' replacement on Earth: the former Titan Donna Troy.[4] Following Colos' trial, Munchukk and Threllian supported Colos and helped him fight back against Jeddigar. However, the battle ended with the apparent death of both Colos and Jeddigar, who were actually sent to another universe.[5]
Some time later, Munchukk was one of the few survivors of the battle between the Darkstars and Grayven on Rann. Munchukk stayed on Rann alongside Colos, Chaser Bron, and Galius Zed to help rebuild the city.[6]
