Kaldur'ahm, also known as Jackson Hyde, is the second Aqualad. He became Arthur Curry's partner after his original sidekick Garth grew up to become Tempest. Jackson's powers include control over water and electricity. He is the son of Black Manta and his name is an homage to the older character Cal Durham. Kaldur disappeared from the comics for five years after The New 52 reboot, eventually reappearing in DCU: Rebirth #1 (2016) as a member of the Teen Titans, and eventually became the new Aquaman.

Kaldur'ahm was created by Greg Weisman, Brandon Vietti, and Phil Bourassa. He was meant to first appear in the 2010 Young Justice pilot episode "Independence Day", but Geoff Johns's adaption appeared five months prior in Brightest Day #4 (2010).
