Flamesplasher was one of two different similarly named individuals who once worked for notorious Gotham City criminal Two-Face.

One version of Flamesplasher used a wrist mounted cannon which projected bursts of intense flame, while the other version had a similar device that sprayed large volumes of water. Flamesplasher worked alongside two other sets of "twin" villains named Darklight and Sizematic. On one robbery, the criminals broke into the New York Philatelic Exhibition to steal the valuable 1856 "Penny Black" postage stamp. At the same time, Flamesplasher's twin and his allies were robbing a reproduction of the same item on display at the Gotham Stamp Society in Gotham City. The strange duality of the crimes soon attracted the attention of the Teen Titans. Titan member Duela Dent tried to use her ESP to give the Titans forewarning about their foes' powers, but her psychokinesis had not accounted for the fact that each villain was paired with a twin possessing the exact opposite super-ability. On their initial encounter, Flamesplasher used his flame projector to briefly incapacitate Kid Flash. In a subsequent fight, the twin Flamesplasher used his water cannon to take down Speedy. Speedy soon turned the tables on both Flamesplashers however by using an icicle arrow to disable their respective weapons with one shot. The fight unbalanced the villains and both Flamesplashers fell backwards out of the window of the building where the battle took place. Flamesplasher's current whereabouts and activities are unknown.

  • Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985ā€“86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
