Edward Wells was a hired assassin under the alias of Cormorant.
History
He worked for General Scarr as part of his plan to eliminate Batgirl.[1] He failed to accomplish his mission and this allowed Batgirl to defeat him during General Scarr's downfall.[2]
Four years later, Cormorant was suspected of the murders of Slash. His wife hired Slash to murder him and as a result, Cormorant came in conflict with Batgirl and Slash, but he was killed by the latter.[3]

- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
