Digger Harkness, nicknamed Captain Boomerang, was a rogue ASIS agent and a former member of the Suicide Squad. He was later killed by Merlyn after joining Prometheus' team.
History
Digger Harkness was a former ASIS agent specializing in weaponry. Digger went rogue, and was captured by A.R.G.U.S. and entered into the Suicide Squad. During a mission in Tanzania, a warlord the Squad was fighting outgunned them, and Lyla Michaels was forced to give the order to detonate the bombs in the Squad members' necks. Digger's malfunctioned however, and he formed a grudge against A.R.G.U.S. and Lyla for killing his team and trying to kill him.
Years later, Digger was in Starling City, and assassinated A.R.G.U.S. agent Kai Wu.[1] Stealing his ID card, Digger attempted to use it to enter the headquarters of A.R.G.U.S.. However, it failed, alerting A.R.G.U.S. to Digger's presence. Nevertheless, Digger easily fought through A.R.G.U.S.'s forces using his Trick Boomerangs. The Arrow and Arsenal showed up on scene at A.R.G.U.S., but Digger held his own and threw a boomerang at the Arrow, almost striking him, but the boomerang was caught by the Flash. Digger quickly escaped the A.R.G.U.S. building.
Digger was able to deceive the Arrow's team by leading them to a fake boomerang supplier, allowing Digger to ambush the Arrowcave. Digger was able to hit Lyla in the chest with a boomerang, but was fought off with an explosive thrown by Felicity Smoak. Digger planned to make his escape from Starling by train, but facial recognition led the Arrow and the Flash to confront him at the train station. Digger revealed that five bombs were planted around Starling, and gave the heroes an ultimatum: stop him or stop the bombs. However, the Flash was able to transport the members of the Arrow's team around Starling and they cut the bombs' wires in time. The Arrow pinned Digger to a train station pillar, and also shot his hand, ending his plan. Digger is subsequently imprisoned in the A.R.G.U.S. Purgatory facility.

- Digger Harkness was named Captain Boomerang by Cisco Ramon. Cisco had originally suggested the name Kaboom Boomerang, but it was quickly shot down.
