Daniel Cormac is an Irish superhero operating under the name Jack O'Lantern as a member of the new Global Guardians.
History
Jack O'Lantern responded to a shipwreck off the coast of Ireland, but was called away by the offer of high rates from the superhero-for-hire app Heroz4U to appear at a Halloween party,[1] for which he was in popular demand.[2]
Jack would eventually quit the international superhero team the Global Guardians because he felt its efficacy to be limited by the bureaucracy of its backers, the United Nations. With his fellow heroes from around the world, he formed a new Global Guardians, who became fugitives for crossing international borders with impunity and took refuge in the other-dimensional Mirror World. When his fellow Global Guardians schismatics, Intercorps, warned Guardians past and present that the United States Government had sent an Amazo android to steal their powers, Jack engaged the robot in Berlin, deducing from its absorption of the Martian Manhunter's powers that it would likewise possess his weakness to fire.[3]

Jack O'Lantern and the new Global Guardians
When the Amazo had seemingly been defeated, he argued heatedly over his team's renegade status with his former friend and teammate Belphegor, who attempted to arrest the new Guardians. Instead, the heroes were teleported to the orbital headquarters of Intercorps and offered membership, though Jack disdained the prospect of joining the "communist space army." At that moment, the satellite was breached by the recovered Amazo, and Jack saved Belphegor, revealing that he had missed her and learning that she approved of his work in return, only for both to lose their powers to and rendered unconscious by the attacking android.[3]
