Bernard Ferguson was the chief of police of Pittsburgh during the time when Firestorm operated there.
History
He often worked together with Commander Leonard Davis, who soon convinced him to grant Firestorm law enforcement deputy status. However, the events of Legends and shortly after hurt that relationship.
Later, during Millennium, he was revealed to be a Manhunter agent assigned to watch over the hero.
