Synopsis for "Superman: House of Brainiac, Part One: Brainiac Attacks!"

Lois Lane happily begins her first day off in years by meeting Clark, Jimmy Olsen and Siobhan Smythe in Centennial Park for morning yoga. Siobhan asks why Lois only ever takes this specific day off and Clark tells her it's a significant anniversary; but before he can explain what the anniversary is he hears something and tells them to get to cover. An army of Czarnians and Brainiac drones fall out of the sky into Metropolis.

The Superman Family quickly respond, and Steel reports that they can't send a signal out of the city to call their allies for help. Meanwhile Supergirl wonders how there could be so many Czarnians when Lobo supposedly killed the rest of his race. Kara says that this kind of chaos is not how Brainiac usually does things. Indeed the attack on the city is revealed to be a distraction as Brainiac orders General Chacal to make a surgical strike on Supercorp, where Lex Luthor is starting his work release from prison at the company.

At Supercorp, Chief Kekoa and Lena accuse Lex of being behind the attack but he insists it is nothing to do with him. He tells Lena they need to get her out of the city, and when she asks why LL-01 appears and says it is too later. Luthor doesn't recognise LL-01 and reveals that he didn't create it. LL-01 reveals that he is an extension of Brainiac; and that Luthor gave Superman LexCorp and baited Graft and Pharm into returning so he would be ready for this attack by Brainiac. Czarnians smash into the building and trap Mercy and Lena in bottles which teleport away to the Skull Ship. Luthor asks LL-01 to let Lena go and take him, but Brainiac says that he just wants Luthor dead. Luthor activates his watch, which creates a force field of a Warsuit around him for ten seconds. He tackles one of the Czarnians out of the window and they fall to the ground, killing his attacker. The force field dissipates just after they land.

Luthor calls Superman and tells him that Brainiac is after the Superman Family and it is vital that he not get his hands on any Kryptonians, but refuses to explain why. He tells Superman that he needs to take the fight to Brainiac but Clark can't see the ship anywhere. In quick succession the attackers manage to bottle Supergirl, Superboy, Kong Kenan and even the Super-Twins when they try to save Lois from an attack. They also take Siobhan and Superman realises they are going after anyone with powers. Elsewhere in the city the Czarnians abduct Livewire, Metallo, Parasite and Lana Lang.

Two of the Czarnians seemingly overpower Superman and General Chacal approaches them. Brainiac calls from the Skull Ship and tells Chacal that the other heroes have noticed what is happening, and they need to go now. Superman realises that Brainiac's ship must be somewhere in the atmosphere and breaks free, revealing that he allowed himself to be taken. He punches out the other two Czarnians and demands that Chacal take him to Brainiac. Chacal pulls out a gun that would put Superman in a bottle, but Luthor dives in front of the beam. He tells Superman that he is the only one who can save them as he and Chacal teleport away to the ship. Superman flies up into space after the Skull Ship but it teleports away.

He returns to the Daily Planet and Lois frantically asks him what they are going to do. Superman angrily responds that they need to find Lobo. Meanwhile on the Skull Ship, Brainiac is revealed to have teamed up with all the versions of himself from across the Multiverse.
