The Hotel is a location in Dark Deception and Monsters & Mortals. The nightmare appears in Chapter 1 in the level "Monkey Business", and is inhabited by the Murder Monkeys and Chef Monkeys. Like all other nightmares, the hotel is demolished after the escape.
In Monsters & Mortals, the Hotel is one of the maps currently available. It was with the game since release and even in the public beta before it.
Description[]
Dark Deception[]
The first part of the Hotel features a desk and two cutouts of friendly versions of the Murder Monkeys. A sign near the desk says "Welcome Breakfast & Murder Free everyday until 10:00 AM" Nearby is a hallway with multiple elevators, with one straight ahead having a Murder Monkey inside facing away from the door. Around the Hotel are pictures of the Murder Monkeys.
In the maze, the ring altar is in the heart of the maze, where the player starts. Words written on the wall say "Break the Boards". Around the maze are multiple doors that can't be opened with the exception of two. The hotel also includes a kitchen. Occasionally, Murder Monkeys are seen to partially open doors and stare at the player.
Dark Deception: Monsters & Mortals[]
The multiplayer variation of the map removes the ring barrier room, kitchen and secret rooms, but still retains most of the original layout the map is a shrunken version of the original game's layout. The map features banana peels as traps to stun players who walk into them and the Chef Monkeys as bosses to chase after players.

As a place of rest and privacy, the hotel appears to represent Doug's infidelity to his wife, with a complaint from his mistress suggesting that he has a tendency to commit his adulterous act in hotels, where he is certain that his sin can be concealed from his wife and everyone else but him and his mistress.

Hotels are common settings for most horror stories, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, Stephen King's The Shining, Hell Hotel LLC, and See No Evil.
Trivia[]
- The desk at the lobby has a bell on it, which rings when you press it. Press it ten times and a cutout of a monkey will pop up. You will also earn the achievement "Service, Please!"
- In the 2014 demo, the hotel's lobby was absent.
- The banana peels are completely original to Monsters & Mortals, as the original level lacked any traps.
- Near one of the secret rooms in the hotel, there's an easter egg which is a graffiti on the wall that says 'EVANS WAS HERE'. If interacted with, it will start playing the old 2014 theme 'Into Madness'.
- In the Ring Altar Room, there is a painting next to the elevator with 3 monkeys covering their mouths, eyes and ears with their knives, referencing the Three Wise Monkeys.
