Stage 6 of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is called A Nightmare Reborn (if playing as Richter) or Undying Melody (if playing as Maria). It consists of a battle against Shaft and four bosses from the original Castlevania which he summons via a pentagram.

Overview[]

After exiting the previous stage, the hero wanders into a portion of the castle. In this long hallway lies an upper and lower path. The lower path does not have much to offer aside from a hidden item at the end. One must be wary of the pitfalls present. The upper path houses numerous Candles containing Hearts and Sub-Weapons as to prepare the hero for the trials that lay forward. Through the door is a mid-sized room where Shaft awaits. Two small platforms are present near the sides of the rooms for maneuverability.

The background of this stage is a reference to Block 8 background from Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse.
The four bosses summoned by Shaft are the same bosses (and in the same order) from Castlevania, but in different designs.
