Goh's Frogadier (Japanese: ゴウのゲコガシラ Go's Gekogashira) is the eleventh Pokémon that Goh caught in the Kalos region and his one-hundred-and-eleventh overall.

History

Froakie and Grimer

In The Future is Now, Thanks to Strategy!, Goh encountered Frogadier as a Froakie in Lumiose City. It initially used its Frubbles to defend itself from capture, but with some advice from Bonnie, Goh was able to catch it. When Goh arrived at the Lumiose Gym with Bonnie, Goh introduced Froakie to Ash and Clemont.

In Big Brother to the Rescue!, Froakie was shown to have befriended Grimer, who had given its home cave for the newcomer to inhabit. Unfortunately, this also resulted in Grimer unintentionally polluting Cerise Park's water stream by bathing at the water source.

In Catching the Aura of Fate!, Froakie was motivated to have a training match with Chloe's Eevee after seeing Ash's Pokémon train with each other. As a result of the match, Froakie evolved into Frogadier.

In This Could be the Start of Something Big!, Frogadier attended a surprise party hosted by the Lab members commemorating Goh and Ash's departure.

Personality and characteristics

Frogadier is a very eager Pokémon and enjoys battling, as shown when it saw Lucario and Cinderace battling and wanted to do the same. As is usual of its species, Frogadier uses its Frubbles to defend itself. This made it difficult for Goh to capture Frogadier without Bonnie's help.

At Cerise Park, Frogadier prefers to stay in dark places, like a cave, which is why Goh's Grimer had given up its home cave for it.
