Goh's Boldore (Japanese: ゴウのガントル Goh's Gantle) is the sixth Pokémon that Goh caught in in the Galar region, and his seventy-first overall.

History

Boldore and Goh

In A Pinch of This, a Pinch of That!, Goh first encountered Boldore when it confronted Chloe's Eevee in the Wild Area. He caught it after a brief battle with Cinderace and later used it to battle a rampaging Arctozolt. The battle was eventually interrupted by the arrival of Ash and his Dracovish.

In All Out, All of the Time!, Goh used Boldore to ride on during the Pokémon Catch Adventure Race. During the course, Goh uses Boldore to save the All-Out Brothers from a huge boulder that was heading their way after an attempt to execute a Z-Move.

In Battling in the Freezing Raid!, Boldore was the last Pokémon used by Goh in a Raid Battle against an Articuno. During the battle, it tried to protect Ash's Pikachu and Horace's Bayleef from a Sheer Cold attack. The attack was too powerful, however, and everyone but Bayleef ended up being defeated.

In Big Brother to the Rescue!, Goh used Boldore, along with other Pokémon in the park, to create a fountain so that Grimer and Froakie could live in Cerise Laboratory without dirtying the stream.

In Heroes Unite!, Boldore joined the rest of Goh's Pokémon at the lab to celebrate their Trainer's return from the last mission of Project Mew. In This Could be the Start of Something Big!, it attended a surprise party hosted by the Lab members commemorating Goh and Ash's departure.

Personality and characteristics

Boldore and Roggenrola

Boldore is a very tough Pokémon, capable of withstanding Arctozolt's direct attacks, as mentioned by Goh. This strength is seen again when Boldore is able to hurl a huge boulder away during the Pokémon Catch Adventure Race.

In the Cerise Laboratory, Boldore is often seen with other Rock-type Pokémon, most notably with Goh's Roggenrola.
