Franco Urru was an artist whose work includes Buffyverse comics from IDW Publishing.
Career[]
Urru debuted in the American comic book industry by illustrating covers and interiors for the miniseries Spike: Asylum, in 2006. He continued to pencil Angel and Spike comics, with titles such as Spike: Shadow Puppets, After the Fall, Spike: After the Fall, Barbary Coast, and Spike.
In IDW Publishing, Urru also illustrated the comics Liberty Comics #7, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Microseries: Raphael, Heroic Spotlight #1, and Flare #37.
Notably, Urru penciled a cover for the crossover comic Fallen Angel: Reborn and featured Spike and his bug crew in a cover for Mars Attacks: The Transformers. His last work for the Buffyverse comics is a limited cover for the first Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Nine trade paperback released exclusively in Germany by Panini Comics.
Urru passed away on November 29, 2012.[1]
