General Pryde is a Star Wars minifigure that was released in 2019.

Background[]

A veteran of the Imperial Navy, Enric Pryde has seen service as a fleet officer aboard a Star Destroyer named Steadfast during the "old wars", witnessing the warlord Darth Vader in action, which made him develop a deep respect for the talents of Force-users despite not embracing their mystical reverence.

Following the defeat of the Galactic Empire's remnants on Jakku at the hands of the New Republic, Pryde fled during the ex-Imperial exodus into the Unknown Regions. He eventually joined the growing hermit state that was the First Order, becoming one of the generals praised by Supreme Leader Snoke himself and being given command of a flagship he dubbed Steadfast - in honor of his old commission. One of the few held close enough by the Supreme Leader to be made privy to his designs , Pryde came to believe that there might be another "power" pulling the unwitting Snoke's strings. The Allegiant General - a rank he was awarded that was almost equal to a Grand Marshal - was planned to be part of a second wave of governship that would aid the Supreme Leader move the First Order to the position of sole authority in the galaxy, replacing the informal triumvirate composed of General Hux, Captain Phasma and the dark warrior Kylo Ren after the unveiling of Starkiller Base.

But Starkiller Base was destroyed and Snoke was not long after slain, leaving Kylo Ren to assume control in the subsequent power vaccum. In charge of a significant portion of the First Order's reserve forces, Pryde was persuaded to support Ren after being offered a seat on the Supreme Council that now managed the military junta. The Allegiant General was not impressed by the self-entitled Supreme Leader's abilities, though he believed his ruthless determination will help ensure victory for the First Order.

As the First Order pursued the fledgling Resistance, the reborn Darth Sidious, publicly known as Emperor Palpatine, announced his return through a transmission received galaxy-wide. Initially alarmed by a potential rival, Kylo Ren was convinced by Sidious to forge an alliance between the First Order and the Sith Eternal. After Ren redeemed himself, Sidious rewarded Pryde's loyalty by placing him in command of the Sith Eternal forces. In accordance with the Sith Lord's instructions, the Allegiant General prepared to lead the Sith Eternal's fleet of Xyston-class Star Destroyers, the Final Order, to star systems that still dared resist them. However, the Resistance and the citizens' fleet foiled their plot and destroyed the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Steadfast, resulting in the outraged Pryde's demise.
