This article covers the relationship between Pencil and Pin.

Pencil and Pin appear to be in good terms during the first season, especially in "Return of the Hang Glider", but during the second season (starting in "PointyPointyPointy ♫"), they become arch-enemies, mostly coming from FreeSmart's mistreatment to Pin. In IDFB–TPOT, they two didn't interact with each other again.

Episodes suggesting a conflict[]

In "Barriers and Pitfalls", Pin tells Pencil to go help the others find Blocky, not caring about their alliance.

In "Bridge Crossing", when Pencil falls over when the Announcer says that he got a chunk of ice again, Pin says she's overreacting.

In "Return of the Hang Glider", Pin almost slapped Pencil because she didn't vote Leafy to win.

In "PointyPointyPointy ♫", Pin annoyingly calls Pencil's name after Pencil calls Coiny's name during an argument.

In "Spore Day", they fight each other throughout the episode.

In "Respect to the Wicked", Pencil celebrates Pin beating her 20th place streak. Pencil quickly switches back to FreeSmart when Coiny asks if Pin can join The Hearts. Pin and Pencil constantly chase each others trinket throughout the episode. Pin crushes Pencil, along with Book with the FreeSmart Supervan.

In "Start the Shift", when Pencil is recovered, she goes to Pin and insults her, which Pin responds blowing a raspberry at her, offending her. Later, when Pencil is eliminated, Pin mocks her, annoying Pencil.

Neutral interactions[]

In "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know", Pencil cheers for Pin to switch teams.

In "Get Digging", Pencil backs away when Pin asks if anyone would like to switch.

In "The Long-lost Yoyle City", when Pin gets happy and says her team won, Pencil corrected her by saying that they placed 2nd.

Episodes suggesting a friendship[]

In "Take the Plunge: Part 2", Pin chose Pencil to be on her team first. She later holds Pencil as an oar.

In "Return of the Hang Glider", both Pin and Pencil agreed that Leafy deserves execution. When Pencil found Flower's Announcer Crusher to kill Leafy with, Pin said "Good job Pencil."
