Spoiler2

The information in the article below contains spoilers for the BFDI series. Please watch the episode(s) if you have not seen them yet.

You must choose between immunity into the final fifteen, or a hand powered recovery center!

Hand-powered Recovery Center (abbreviated as HPRC) is a recovery center appearing in Battle for Dream Island Again and IDFB. The recovery center is used by typing the name of the dead contestant on the right side of the recovery center and turning the dark-purplish crank until the status says "DONE". The contestant will then be created and come out of the dispenser, but cannot recover a contestant who is still alive. It can even recover non-contestants, like Bubble or Flower.

Coverage[]

It appeared when Teardrop had chosen it over immunity into the final 15 as a prize in "Zeeky Boogy Doog", and also killed Gelatin due to it falling on him and crushing him. It is then used to recover all the dead contestants.

In "Get in the Van", it is used to recover the dead contestants. When the challenge starts, it is inserted in the FreeSmart Van, but FreeSmart is eaten by Evil Leafy.

In BFDIA 5b, the HPRC is split into two pieces, but still works. One piece has the crank/keypad and the other has the opening, so it can be used to "move" contestants by killing and recovering them.

In "No More Snow!", it is crushed along with Evil Leafy, so the remaining alive contestants have to create a new one with the HPHPRCC. After they do this, the dead contestants are recovered.

In "It's a Monster", W.O.A.H. Bunch revives Puffball using the HPRC to bribe her into flying them to Yoyleland, but fail. Puffball ends up recovering Team No-Name. Later in the episode, FreeSmart steals the HPRC.

In "The Long-lost Yoyle City", Ruby accidentally glues the HPRC to Yoyleland. It is in Yoyleland for the rest of series after this point.

It appears again in "Well Rested" and "Intruder Alert", yet again serving the purpose of recovering people.

In "Catch These Hands", Gelatin uses a grappling hook on the HPRC to recover people 2763 miles away.

In "Taste the Sweetness", the contestants drive to Yoyleland to use it and recover all the dead contestants.

In IDFB, it appears again with the same purpose.

It does not appear physically after IDFB, but it does make an appearance in Black Hole's dream in "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", where it is used by Fanny to recover Marker.

Contestants recovered by the center[]

Trivia[]

  • Dora and Teardrop are the only contestants in BFDIA to not be recovered by this recovery center.
  • Marker is the only TPOT contestant who did not compete in BFDIA or BFDI to get recovered by this center. He is also the only contestant to be recovered from this center in general in TPOT.
    • Fanny recovered him. She is the only contestant to recover another contestant in TPOT that isn't by means of the TPOT recovery center.
  • The HPRC seems to have autocorrect, as it can also recover with non-exact contestant names typed in.
  • The HPRC has a variant called HPRC But It's French Because of the Eiffel Tower (HPRC BIF BOTET), which looks like a regular HPRC with baguettes, and first appears in "Meaty".
