Miss Etta Kette was a character who appeared in Seasons 4-6 of Barney & Friends. She was a purple bird who spoke with a Southern accent and lived in the treehouse with Scooter McNutty. She was puppeteered and voiced by the late Brice Armstrong.
About Miss Etta[]
Miss Etta Kette's name was a play on the word Etiquette. She usually gave very good advice, and bad things often happen to those who do not need her advice. One of the most notable instances of this effect appeared in the episode, "A Sunny, Snowy Day", when Miss Etta tried to warn Scooter to dress appropriately because she knew that the weather will change, but he refused to listen. Later, the weather changed, and Scooter got cold and he realized he should have dressed appropriately.
