Hey all! I'm currently gathering feedback regarding the upcoming change to the desktop skin, called FandomDesktop, to help me understand any of the concerns and issues this community may face due to this change, so they can be properly addressed during testing and before we get to rollout. The change is introduced at large in this staff blog, which I advise everyone to read if you haven't yet.

Some notable points:

• Light and Dark modes - A wiki can basically have two theme options, and users can pick their preference. Admins will be able to style both in ThemeDesigner.
• Fluid width - The content area can be expanded, and the right rail can also be collapsed, for a wider article page. This too will be user preference.

Some of you may have already read the blog announcement on Community Central about this, but for those who haven't: Fandom announced that it would focus the upcoming 2 weeks on an all-hands quality of life project -- read "a two-week bug squashing effort"!

Hi guys! In light of this blog, the UCP migration of this wiki (and others for that matter) had been put on hold for a while in order to give the engineering team more time to fix some issues regarding the editor and admin experience on UCP.

Now, a few weeks later, I want to let you know that migrations are going to start up again, with this community being among those at the front of the line! Hi all! My name is Mandy, and I’m the assigned Fandom Wiki Manager for the Barney Wiki. I am here to help the community and be a liaison to full-time Fandom staff. If you ever have a question or issue relating to the wiki, editing, etc., please contact me on my talk page.

Additionally, I am happy to inform everyone that Fandom will be upgrading to a more modern version of MediaWiki, the platform that powers your wiki. You can read more about it in this blog post.

In terms of categories, we should simplify the number of categories used on every page. 

Since the generation pages are gone, it no longer makes sense to use the "generation" as a category. The season category is also too arbitrary (many videos did not necessarily fit within a specific season). The year category is an official way to substitute the need for both the generation and the year categories. 

I appreciate everyone who contributes to the site. But, remember the main goal of this wiki is to offer factual information on the franchise. I more than willing to discuss any other opinions. Just keep in mind, this wiki needs structure to function properly.

Are we using the title cards as the title for these home videos or are we using the title on the slipcovers? 

According to the title cards, if Barney's Campfire Sing-Along is Campfire Sing-Along, should Barney's Super Singing Circus be Super Singing Circus on this wiki.

Hey everyone,

I know people are gonna kill me for this, but I really feel the use of "Generations" on Barney Wiki is unnecessary in my opinion. The main reason is that generations are subjective (some think there are six, I think there are only four, and so on....) and this site, trying to be a definitive source for everything Barney related, doesn't really fit that. So, I'm thinking of removing the generation pages, because they seem like they're forcing the opinions of some people as fact, when that's not the case at all.

That said, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the matter. Should we abolish the "generation" pages or not? Please state a reason for your opinion on the matter as well. =)

Waiting for Santa Campfire Sing-Along Goes to School Rock with Barney In Concert (normal version, not time life)

Project Y.E.N.R.A.B is an event that will plan to unite the Barney fanbase in the summer of 2011! What kind of event is it, you ask? That's a surprise. However, I can tell you that it's not going to take place online. The trailer, shown at the right of this message, was released a few months ago on YouTube and is now being released here. If you have any suggestions for the event, I'll take them (as you may have already known, I'm behind this event).
