Mage (Blue Globe 4)

Gameplay[]

After the party presses the blue button on the Globe Machine and receives the fourth Blue Globe - this female human mage spawns over at the eastern side of the chamber.

This 20th level mage will appear and initially put up a prepared protection buff chain, and if she is damaged in some manner will further protect herself with a contingency.

Afterwards, if able, she will cast spells as noted under the conditions listed in the InfoBox.

When she is defeated, her corpse remains on the ground, and no items are found.

The mage deploys a Spell Trigger with a Mislead illusion, Fireshield (Red), and Globe of Invulnerability.

Part of her Time Stop, the mage casts two symbol spells, then moves closer to the PC for another spell attack such as Sunfire or Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting.

Mod content[]

This section is about unofficial content that is only available via fan-made mods.

The Sword Coast Stratagems mod will randomly assign a specialty kit to this mage at installation, either Conjurer, Enchanter, Invoker or Necromancer.

The assigned kit will determine which AI script is used by the mage, and influence available spell choices, prepared Minor Sequencer, Spell Sequencer and Spell Trigger.

Expect a more robust and rapid initial protective buff chain at the start of the encounter, making the mage more difficult to destroy or disrupt at the battle's start.

The player's selected game difficulty setting and install options may mean this mage will have use of more than one mage High-level class ability, such as Summon Dark Planetar, Comet, Dragon's Breath (spell) and or Improved Alacrity.

The mage is provided with a random SCS treasure.

A large number of protections are applied, including some spells from the Spell Revisions mod, such as Mind Blank. A pair of Djinn are summoned as well.

The mage's Time Stop finishes, and a Dark Planetar and another Djinni are summoned into the fray.
