Hanj is a lawful neutral male fighter.
After passing through the Athkatla City Gates a few times, you will see Hanj demanding a merchant to pay him. You can either let him do it or try and stop him so you can trade with the merchant. If you stop him, you only have one chance to trade with the merchant. After that the merchant disappears.
Attacking Hanj when he walks away will alarm the guards.
