The Cult Guard is a member of the an unnamed cult that worship's Aec'Letec. Two are encountered with the first group of cultists that greet you when you the first time you arrive in Ulgoth's Beard with the Soultaker Dagger in your inventory. There are two more with the second group of cultist waiting inside Shandalar's Home. There is also one standing outside near the door to Shandalar's home and he will talk to you if you choose. If the dialogue choice leads to fighting, five more guards and two Cult Archers will appear and join the battle.
There are also six cult guards in the basement of the house. They look like monks but still carry a bastard sword and large shield, and they will drop the plumed helmet and potion of heroism upon death.
Notes[]
All of the cult guards encountered outside or inside of Shandalar's home wear a plumed helmet and their stats are listed in the infobox.
The cult guard outside Shandalar's home is the only guard who wears an open-faced, horned helmet with no plume. He has all of the same infobox stats as the plume guard except for the following differences; dexterity is 18 and XP is 300.
Both the horned helmet and basement guards have Neutral allegiance.
The six cult guards in the basement have the same infobox stats as the plume helm guard except for the following differences:
- Guards 1 and 3 have 70 HP and a natural AC of 10
- Guards 2 and 4 have 75 HP and a natural AC of 10
- Guard 5 has 70 HP and a natural AC of 6
- Guard 6 has 84 HP and a natural AC of 6
The six basement guards are positioned counter-clockwise around Aec'Letec as depicted here:
