The flying boar is an animal known to inhabit the world.[1] It is the symbol of the Beifong family; its form is that of a light-colored boar with large, white wings.[2]
History[]
Some animal handlers have been able to tame flying boars and ride them as a mount.[1]
While venturing through the Foggy Swamp, Aang envisioned a flying boar next to a laughing girl in a white dress while separated from and searching for the rest of Team Avatar.[2] This vision eventually led Team Avatar to the estate of the Beifong family, whose emblem was a flying boar, where they found Toph, Aang's eventual earthbending instructor.[3]
Trivia[]
- Although the flying boar is a real animal in the world of Avatar, it has only been depicted in a vision, as well as in heraldry.[1]
