The United States of America (USA), commonly referred to as the United States (US) or America, is a country located on the Earth of Earth-Prime. It is among the wealthiest and most powerful countries in the world, reaching the apex of its power in the mid-twentieth century.

Early history[]
At some point, Abraham Lincoln became the 16th President of the United States.[1]
In 1914, the United States was one of the many nations that participated In World War I as an Allied power.[2]

In 1942, the United States Army participated in World War II. However, the Army had internal strife as African-Americans were treated differently than other soldiers, like Tyson Sykes. Sykes was used experimentally to develop a super-soldier serum which reacted with his genes making him the first active-powered meta-human of the U.S. At that time, Sykes stayed loyal to the United States and continued to fight the Nazis.[3]
During the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, when John F. Kennedy was still president, Americans and Soviets came to the brink of nuclear war. The Russian ambassador accused the U.S. of attacking Cuba with a "Steel man" and Fidel Castro activated the launch of a nuclear attack on Washington, D.C., but eventually the Legends managed to prevent a nuclear war from happening and restored the timeline.[4]
The United States was the main political rival to the Soviet Union during the Cold War.[3]
21st century[]

The U.S. worked with its powered, and also non-powered, heroes to help its citizens.
In the 21st century, the United States suffered several massive attacks from aliens, but all of them were defeated by the heroes of the Earth, like Superman, Supergirl, Flash, Green Arrow, White Canary and many others.[5][6][7][8]
At some point, Olivia Marsdin was the President of the United States and was exposed as an alien, then being probably succeeded by Shaw.[5]
In 2020, President Shaw had a nationwide moment of silence for the sacrifice of Oliver Queen;[8] his funeral was attended by most of the superhero populace.[9]
Foreign combatants fought on United States' soil when the War for Freeland took place; the Markovian soldiers were repelled by Black Lightning's team with the assistance of others.[10]
The United States was one of over a hundred nations that participated in the launch of Obsidian Platinum's worldwide festival; Supergirl was forced to end the event.[11]
By late 2021, Shaw was no longer serving as President of the United States, having been succeeded by an unnamed man.[12]

At some point before or after 2044, Dwayne Johnson became the President of the United States.[13]
Erased future[]
In an erased future, Barry Allen destroyed the U.S. and the whole Earth in 2023 in order to undo the alternate timeline that was created by Eobard Thawne. But using his memories of his family and friends in the current timeline, Barry was able to suceed in causing Armageddon and revert the timeline to its current state.[14]
