“Even when I didn't see you in real life, you made special guest appearances in my dreams!”
― Pekoe, City Folk
Pekoe (ジャスミン Jasumin?, Jasmine) is a normal cub villager from the Animal Crossing series who was introduced in City Folk. Pekoe's name may derive from a term used to refer to unopened leaf buds in tea flushes; her initial phrase, "bud," is also associated with the head of a flower. Her appearance is Chinese-inspired and resembles June, another cub from the early games in the series. She appears on the album cover for Imperial K.K., which is also her favorite song. She has the nature hobby.
Appearance[]
Pekoe is a cream-colored cub who has almond-shaped, aquamarine eyes, and each eye has a single eyelash. She has rosy tipped paws and rosy cheeks. Her nose is black, and her snout is white. She has short black hair and bangs, and she initially wears the Hot Spring Shirt. Her ears are white to resemble niújiǎotóu (牛角头), or ox horns, a traditional Chinese hairstyle often worn by women with traditional clothing.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the normal personality. For more information, click here. |
Pekoe has a normal personality, and frequently acts kind towards the player. Normal villagers generally get along well with lazy, peppy, smug, snooty, and other normal villagers. Pekoe may conflict with cranky and sisterly villagers. As a normal villager, Pekoe will usually wake up at 6:00 am and is easier to befriend than most. Both normal and peppy villagers reference an unseen friend known as Moppina.
House[]
In New Leaf, Pekoe's house resembles Genji's and Kabuki's houses. Her house has an Exotic theme, with a bamboo floor and a red vase. She has a phonograph that plays Imperial K.K.
In New Horizons, Pekoe's house has a white and red Eastern-style exterior with a black zen door and black shingled roof. There is a red lantern hanging from the eaves of her house. The interior of Pekoe's house has red exotic furniture and bamboo flooring and is decorated with cherry blossom branches and an Eastern-style tea set.
