Fauna (ドレミ, Doremi?) is a normal deer villager in the Animal Crossing series. Her Japanese name references the solfege syllables - a doe is a deer, a female deer, as well which could also be a reference to the "Do Re Mi" song from The Sound of Music. Her English name references the name for a young deer, a fawn. The word "fauna" can also be used to refer to the animals of a specific region, habitat, or period. Her phrase is a pun on the word "dearie", a friendly title given to a person, and "deer", Fauna's species. She has the nature hobby.

Her hooves are bright yellow. She has bright spots on the back of her head, much like a real fawn. She initially wears a Shearling Coat in New Leaf and a Bohemian Tunic Dress in New Horizons, and carries a Leaf Umbrella when it rains.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the normal personality. For more information, click here. |
Fauna has a normal personality, and frequently acts kind towards the player. Normal villagers generally get along well with lazy, peppy, smug, snooty, and other normal villagers. Fauna may conflict with cranky and sisterly villagers. As a normal villager, Fauna will usually wake up at 6:00 am and is easier to befriend than most. Both normal and peppy villagers reference an unseen friend known as Moppina.
House[]
In New Leaf, Fauna has somewhat of a retro theme in her house, with furniture from different sets, such as the Alpine series. She has a retro stereo playing K.K. Stroll, a radiator, an Aloe plant, and a classic bed. She also owns a Dapper Tee, which is in the bottom right corner of her home. Her wallpaper is the Parlor Wall, and her flooring is the Pastel-Dot Rug.
In New Horizons, Fauna has a simple home with a red-brown color palette. She has most of the Wooden-block series customized to the Mixed Wood variants, including the chair, bed, chest, table, stool, and bookshelf. She has a small kitchen area in the upper left of her house, consisting of a red Mini-fridge and Gas range, a Cutting board, and a Pot rack. She has a Vintage TV tray on the opposite side of the room from the kitchen, sitting next to her Wooden-block bookshelf. Above her bed is a set of Book stands, the center of her back wall has a Cuckoo clock hanging on it, and her Wooden-block chest has a red Portable record player sitting on top of it. She has the Red-Brick Wall and Mint Dot Flooring.
