Greta is a dog that appears in the FAITH: Chapter II Prologue.
Biography[]
Greta was a dog that resides at Snake Meadow Hill Church, which also functioned as an orphanage. She was the last surviving descendant of a lineage that was brought over by German missionaries. Other dogs were kept there as well.
Early 1950s[]
Sometime in the early 1950s, a demon suddenly makes its home in the cornfield outside the church. It begins making awful noises that gradually become louder over the course of a few days that make the children, staff, and dogs alike uneasy.
On the third night, Greta breaks loose and bolts off into the cornfield, chasing after the noise. Everyone is too afraid to go after her, only being able to listen as her barking fades into the distance. Two days later, a staff member finds her mutilated body on the edge of the cornfield. The demon had seemingly killed her.
September 22nd - 27th, 1987[]
John Ward has a dream that returns him to Snake Meadow Hill Church. He stumbles across Greta's corpse after defeating the demon that had killed her. He can exorcise her to obtain a note that describes her story.
