~ The password to get into the Vicious 6's headquarters |
Prior to the events of the film, Wild Knuckles formed the group and taught them all what he knew. The group then committed various crimes whilst enjoying them, establishing them as the most influential villains of the 1970s.
In the film's beginning, Belle Bottom (Knuckles' second-in-command) steals the map of the Zodiac Stone, an ancient Chinese artifact that possesses the spirits of the Chinese Zodiac. When Wild Knuckles retrieves the Stone and returns to the group, Belle betrays him, usurps the leader position and leaves him to die. Unknown to them Wild Knuckles is still alive by landing in a lake.
They are seen later on when Gru visits them. He feels nervous and attempts to please them but is dismissed due to being a child and has his dream of joining them shattered. When they were distracted by the next contestant and his incompetence, Gru steals the Stone and runs away, this enrages the villains as they proceed to chase him to retrieve the stone. Luckily Gru escapes with the Minions while the five swore revenge.
They later return hopping in their mechs to find Gru. Later, they show up at Gru’s house, only to find he isn’t there. They also learn that Wild Knuckles is still alive, and go to San Francisco to find him. However when they didn't see him in his house, they mercilessly destroy it and then move on to look for the stone. When Gru and Otto reunite with the stone, the group capture and tie up Gru and then use him as a hostage against the Anti-Villain League once they arrived to stop them.
Unfortunately, the clock struck midnight and with the stone the Vicious 5 became powerful Zodiac animals and fight off the AVL while causing destruction in the process. Then they tie Gru to a clock tower to split him in half and kill him before Kevin, Stuart and Bob approach them (only to be turned into animals). Luckily, Wild Knuckles finally steps in to face off against his former group as they all charge for the finale. Eventually, the Minions were able to beat them while Otto saves Gru but Knuckles was nearly burnt to death when he tries to get the Zodiac Stone from her. When Gru tells the villains off to leave Knuckles alone, the five regroup to make one final charge in an attempt to finish Gru off. Luckily once again, Kevin, Bob and Stuart come to Gru's defense and unleash a powerful force shout (which Master Chow used to protect the trio earlier) to push them away, causing the stone to be released from Belle. Gru successfully grabs the stone and uses it to turn them into rats. Gru mocks them for being defeated by a kid. Thus makes the problem how thuggish villains are bigger & tougher than a child but if a kid is against them as rats which makes it more worse as much weirder & uglier. After the battle was won, the Vicious 5 were caged & successfully taken away by the AVL and the Zodiac Stone is confiscated.
At one point before the present, they were changed back to humans and were all cellmates except Wild Knuckles. One day after the arrest of Maxime Le Mal, all five of them appear from their jail cells and dance with other villains from the series, Vector Perkins, El Macho, Balthazar Bratt, Scarlet Overkill, Mr. Perkins, and Herb Overkill, to Maxime and Gru's performance of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World".
Trivia[]
- Canonically, The Vicious 6 were the first supervillains to be wanted by the Anti-Villain League.
- Despite the Vicious 6 each having official names as shown in the opening text and end credits, none of them are addressed by one another or any of the other characters in the film by name, the latter simply referring to them as "The Vicious 6."
- After betraying Wild Knuckles, they never found anyone to replace him on the team, leaving it with only five members, so they were supposed to be renamed Vicious 5.
