Two is a major antagonist of the 2013 role-playing game Drakengard 3.

She was voiced by Chiwa Saito in Japanese and Kate Higgins in English.

Biography[]

Origins[]

Two and the other Intoners came to be when Zero attempted to kill herself by destroying the Flower possessing her, each obtaining a fragment of Zero's powers. They took the forms of five girls that Zero shared her prison cell with. Starting off amoral, the fragments grew personalities of their own. After overthrowing the tyrannical lords of Midgard, the Intoners divided the land among each other. Two took over the Land of Sands and appointed Cent as her disciple. Zero then plotted to put an end to the Intoners to destroy the Flower for good.

Prologue[]

In the year 999, One invites her sisters to the Cathedral City. Two was the first to arrive on January 27th. She and the other Intoners fought against Zero on March 3rd, successfully managing to defeat her.

DLC[]

Two and Cent are out battling monsters across the land, becoming more enamored with each other in the process. After defeating monsters and several soldiers of the previous lords, Two decides to head to the Cathedral City to visit the orphanage she established for a picnic with the children. Upon arriving, however, they discover that the city has fallen into disarray, with the soldiers now acting as if they were zombies. Cent identifies them as the soldiers he tasked with protecting the kids who he enhanced with Two's songs, having gone insane from the Flower's magic. Two is forced to kill them, upsetting her for having to slay her own people.

Fearing the worst, Two and Cent rush to the cathedral where the children were being kept safe, only to find a monstrous homunculus that had absorbed the children. Two loses control of her mind while battling it, tormented by the people she just killed and the voices of the children calling out to her. Upon killing the homunculus, Two's mind completely shatters and leaves her a withered wreck.

Branch A[]

Two has her disciple Cent capture Mikhail, Michael's reincarnation, shortly after Zero defeats Three. Upon reaching her, Two is at first fragile, still traumatized with regrets of killing her people. Cent convinces her to sing to summon Egregori. Zero and Mikhail win the battle, with Mikhail shooting a fireball at Two. Two utters Michael's name before the fireball incinerates her.

Branch B[]

Three invited One to the Land of Forests to kill her, but Two arrived there first and wounded Three while impaling One on a large spike. Impressed by Two's new form, Cent betrays Zero and Two orders him to kill Zero. Cent kills Dito and Octa before being stabbed by Zero while Two and Decadus fatally wound each other. Two and Cent use the rest of their powers to summon Raphael before dying.

Branch C[]

In the Cathedral City, while making their way to One, Two suddenly ambushes the party, once again mentally unstable. Zero defeats her, but she self-destructs, taking out all the disciples with her.

Branch D[]

Two is already dead in this branch.

During the Final Song, the Flower takes the form of Two and the other Intoners as giant statues. After neutralizing its power, Mikhail seals the Flower within another world, with the statues crumbling to pieces.

Appearance[]

Two has short light blue hair and blue eyes, with a small "II" on her forehead. A small dark purple can be seen in her hair. Around her neck is a long purple scarf. Her torso is bare, with a blue bra around her breasts that flays fibers covering her stomach. She wears long blue evening gloves on her arms. Her lower garments consist of a short blue skirt, tights, and long blue boots.

Her weapon of choice is a large steel lance with a blue handle.

Personality[]

Two is the least malicious of the Intoners; she's a cheerful lass who wants to be friends with everyone and fully convinced that her songs can be used to protect her people. She particularly loves children and enjoys playing with them. While fine with fighting monsters, she dislikes fighting other humans, but will show no mercy to those who are against One and her other sisters. But ultimately, her discovery of the people becoming corrupted by her songs instead, including the children, ends with her mind shattering and laughing maniacally.

Unlike the other Intoners who use their Disciples simply for intimacy or a servant, Two is genuinely in love with Cent. But this love makes her more infected by madness from the Flower. After the later branches alter it to have Cent join Zero's party by default, this takes a toll on Two's sanity, turning her into a violent psychopath.

The Great Fists of Antiquity, Egregori is a pair of humanoids composed of water and armor. Two can use her song to summon their fists to attack her opponents.

Raphael[]

Raphael is the final boss of Branch B. It resembles a giant spider but with a floating head above its abdomen and an eye where its mandibles are. The eye is capable of shooting webs. Additionally, it can summon a web of poison around the arena, which will kill Zero and Mikhail if not defeated within five minutes. The armor of Raphael's exoskeleton is strong except for the bottom, meaning Mikhail must flip it over by ramming at it to expose its underbelly.

Trivia[]

Unlike the other sisters, Two has a stable relationship with her disciple.
Two is the only Intoner other than Zero to successfully kill another Intoner, that being One in Branch B.
