Nathan Schneider, better known as Teddy McGiggle, is the main antagonist of the 2019 zombie comedy film Little Monsters.

He was played by Josh Gad, who also played LeFou in the 2017 remake of Beauty and the Beast, Muncher in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and LT-319 in Star Wars: Rebels.

Personality[]

At first, Teddy is seen as a jovial and exuberant man who entertains kids and loves them. However, he is later revealed to actually be a perverted, selfish, abusive, arrogant, hypocritical, and alcoholic child-hater who is only interested in being with their mothers, including single moms, married moms, pregnant moms, and etc. He is also sadistic in leaving children to die and is very traitorous by refusing to help David which also shows him as ungrateful since David saved his life earlier.

Biography[]

Teddy first appears on television being watched by Felix as his uncle David Anderson (the film's protagonist) is laying down on the couch but the uncle is not interested in the show. He then fully appears in the flesh at the student's field trap where David has volunteered to chaperone, only to have done it to be near the teacher Miss Caroline.

When zombies escape from a U.S. testing facility and overrun the farm, the class tries to seek shelter in a gift shop but Teddy had locked himself in and reveals his true nature by selfishly locking them out, not caring about the children. However, David manages to get in through the roof and gets in a fight with Teddy which ends with David winning and getting the class inside. Once he regains consciousness, he starts acting hostile and rude to the kids, which angers Miss Caroline into threatening him into behaving.

When a military helicopter arrives, Teddy uses the roof to gets it's signal but falls off the roof and to get targeted by the zombies. He begs to be let in but they refuse because of what he did earlier. However, David has a change of heart and decides to rescue him. Teddy confesses that he is an alcoholic sex addict that actually hates children, is only interested in their beautiful mothers, and his real name is Nathan Schneider. The next day as the military plans to bomb the gift shop, the survivors plan to escape and Teddy suggests they use his McGiggle mobile but jokingly demands a BJ in return from Miss Caroline, who punches him for that comment. When the kids start panicking, a now fully mature David plans them Sweet Caroline and successfully cheers them up while Teddy puts on his façade and claims that they are going in the McGiggle mobile.

On the roof, Teddy cowardly whimpers about the zombies but David claims that it could be redemption for all the women he had affairs with. While they are battling the zombies, Teddy only targets the zombified children and arrogantly brags about having been with their mothers. When he and David reach the McGiggle mobile, Teddy betrays David by locking him out and flipping him off before mockingly waving goodbye, angering and disgusting David. However, zombies appear in the van and attack Teddy by disemboweling him. He begs for help but David no longer sees any good in him and refuses to help him. An angry Teddy hopes that David dies but the right side of his cheek is ripped off, killing him and avenging the innocent lives that he left behind to die. His wish for David to die was later in vain because Felix saved David by driving a tractor towards the zombies and the class manage to escape on it before the military kill all the zombies and bomb the gift shop where Teddy's corpse and the mobile are also destroyed.

It's unknown what happens to his show but it might get canceled because of his death. It is unknown if David will ever divulge Teddy's betrayal or not.

Trivia[]

• Teddy is an evil counterpart to David, since they are both immature and foulmouthed perverts but the difference is that David was an inherently good person despite his flaws and had a change of heart and became mature at the end while Teddy destroyed his redeeming quality and didn't change his behavior. Also, David cares about children and keeps them safe while Teddy hates them and would allow them to die. Meaning that if David didn't have that change of heart, he would've ended up like Teddy.
