Stinger One is a minor antagonist in the 2009 film, Astro Boy. He is one of President Stone's soldiers working for the Metro City Military dispatched to capture Astro Boy after finding out that he is in possession of the Blue Core.
He is voiced by Bob Logan.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Stinger One, but it appears he serves as one of the soldiers under the command of President Stone. He seems to be a pilot, working with the air forces of Metro City's military to defend it from threats.
Upon finding out that the blue core is inside Tenma's replica son, Astro Boy, Stinger One is dispatched by Stone to capture Astro Boy alive and to bring it before him. Spotting Astro hiding in a nearby building after he is rejected by Dr. Tenma, he orders the rest of his squad to set weapons to capture him, only for him to escape. They soon chase Astro Boy through the outskirts of Metro City. During the chase, he seems to accidentally grab a dog, and also Mr. Mustachio's supposed girlfriend. After deciding to take them back since it's not his priority to retrieve them, he tries to find Astro, only for him to jam the ship's weapon, preventing any suction. It's implied the weapon of his ship was automatically fixed, as he and his squad eventually capture Astro Boy. Astro soon flies and begins luring the ships into a nearby building. He then soon falls, only for Astro Boy to save his life and carry him to a nearby building. However, more shuttles spot Astro Boy much to his confusion, to the point that Stinger One proclaims "I love you", just as Astro challenges the ships to take him on once more. The ships then scatter just as Stinger One soon falls off the building, possibly to his death.
