SkekHak is a minor antagonist in The Dark Crystal franchise. He is a Skeksis who is responsible for the death of UrYa and his own counterpart UrHom, thus consequently SkekYi and himself.
Biography[]
Right after the UrSkeks are divided into the Skeksis and the Mystics, SkekHak quickly jumps to UrYa and chokes him to death, thus killing SkekYi. He then jumps to another UrRu and throws him into the shaft of the Crystal. However, said UrRu turns out to be none other than SkekHak's counterpart, UrHom, thus SkekHak himself is burned to death, with all the Skeksis laughing at his corpse.
Seeing this, Aughra, the Skeksis and the Mystics learn that despite the division, the Skeksis and the Mystics still share a spiritual link, and that if one dies, the other would too. As a result, the Skeksis choose to leave the Mystics alone so as to preserve their own lives, allowing the latters to eventually help Thra hundreds of trine later.
Trivia[]
- In the novels, SkekHak survives and becomes the Skeksis Machinist who redesigns the castle for the Skeksis.
