Salieri Crime Family are the main antagonists of the 2002 game Mafia and its remake, and overarching antagonists in the 2010 sequal Mafia 2.
they are a criminal organization led by the crime lord Ennio Salieri who operates in the American city of Lost Heaven, they first start out as allies to the protagonist Tommy they soon reveal their true colors and become the main enemies of the game.
History[]
in the American city of Lost Heaven, the family was formed by don Salieri in 1921 after the of a former crime lord don Peppone, Salieri and his rival Don Morello started dividing up the city between them, the Morellos takes north park and the Salieris take Little Italy creating illegal operations. There was a peaceful time between the two families but in 1933 Morello begins getting more success in the criminal underworld and he starts making a deal with the FBI to help him take down Salieri, as the families start a war after there was a attempted assassination on Salieri, as things start to turn good for the Salieris as the underbosses of Morello has been killed by Tommy Angelo and then killed Morello himself, after Morello's death the Salieris started to take over the city. That all changed when Tommy was almost killed by Salieri which makes him work with the LHPD and sold information to take down the crime gang leading to the don's arrest in order to protect his family, in the end the Salieri Family has ended.
