Papa is the main antagonist of the independent psychological horror game my eyes deceive.
Personality[]
At first Papa is shown to be a protective father to his daughter, keeping her in the basement for her own safety against the disease-filled land, giving her special pills that help her from becoming sick.
However, this is ultimately revealed to be a ruse as the world is in perfect shape and the pills the girl is taking are regular sedatives. Papa in actuality is a sick pervert lusting over his own daughter, misinforming her so as she would never leave and drugs her as a way to prevent her from knowing what's going on as he uses her as his sex toy, managing to impregnate her in the bad ending.
Biography[]
After the world is infected with a deadly disease, Papa has his daughter take shelter in the basement, where she has lived for the rest of her life. Papa refuses to let the girl out of the basement, claiming that there are monsters out there that will try to eat her. He also gives her a series of pills that he instructs her to take each day supposedly to help her from getting infected.
As the week progresses, Papa will give the girl supplies before suddenly cutting contact with her on the third day. The girl is given a decision if she should continue taking her pills. On the seventh day, Papa returns, claiming that he had to leave for something urgent, giving her an apple as an apology.
Good Ending[]
If the girl does not take the pills on the sixth day, her dream shows her removing chains from the room. She also lies to Papa about having taken the drugs on the seventh day. As she pretends to sleep, Papa sneaks down to her bed to force intercourse on her. However, the police arrive at the house and he flees. When the girl wakes up, Papa is gone while leaving the basement door open.
Climbing out, the girl discovers a receipt from a pharmacy for sedatives, as well as a police report for a spontaneous house inspection due to suspicious purchases. The girl walks outside the house and looks at the sun in confusion.
Bad Ending[]
If the girl takes the pills on the sixth day, the game cuts to the 147th day, showing that nothing had changed since. As she walks up the stairs to talk to Papa, she asks him why did her belly get so round.
