Miyana is a supporting antagonist in the Mystery of Aaravos saga within Netflix's 2018 animated fantasy series The Dragon Prince.
She is a Sunfire elf who holds the position of Elite General known as the Six Horns. She was in a relationship with Prince Karim, who conspired against his sister, Janai, for power and disagreeing with her sense of leadership. Later, Miyana becomes the mother of twin children born from her relationship with Karim after his death.
She is voiced by Cecilly Day.
Biography[]
Miyana first appears in the "Fallen Stars" episode where she attends Janai's and Amaya's engagement in their royal tent. Miyana, Gren, and Karim congratulate them as a couple. But as revealed later, she is secretly dating Karim, who is in a disagreement with Janai and how is allowing the humans to come back to Xadia. She attends Lucia the human architect trial with the other horns despite Amaya's defense on being merciful, the horns declare Lucia as guilty though Miyana did hesitate in the moment. But after Janai agrees with her fiancés argument the horns change their judgement. Afterwords, Miyana meets Karim in the middle of night with the latter saying that Janai is bringing their people down a dark path. In the next episode, Karim tells her that he plans to challenge his sister in the forbidden practice of "War of Blood and Ash" but Miyana was concern with the idea.
Before Karim tries to challenge his sister, Miyana tries to convince him not to do it and warns him about Janai's talent with a sword. Karim tells her that he will be fine and she went to join the other horns. Despite her warnings, Karim believed that the horns are on his side despite of his defeat but he was wrong as they drag him away to be banish. Karim yells for her help but Miyana does not interfere.
Despite feeling betrayed, Miyana is still loyal to him as she was ordered by Janai to hide the sun seed since she knows that her brother plans to steal it. But Miyana use this chance to take the sun seed. She reunites with Karim baring two gifts for him, the sun seed and an army.
Personality[]
From what's presented Miyana is an intelligent elf, who is careful when it comes to politics. Though her nationalism and misanthropy aren't as strong as Karim, her love and loyalty is, to the point of betraying her queen by stealing the sun seed and an army for Karim's campaign against the peace between human and Xadians.

Trivia[]
- Miyana's name means "peaceful temple of grace" in Japanese, which is ironic since she is supporting Karim's destructive campaign on the peace between humans and elves.
- However, it could also prove fitting, given Miyana's mellowed nature after her and Karim's defeat.
