Mister 7 is a minor antagonist of the first season of the 2023 live-action series One Piece, based on the anime/manga franchise of the same name. He was a Frontier Agent of Baroque Works.
He is portrayed by Ben Kgosimore.
Biography[]
Mister 7 had been pursuing the pirate hunter Lorenor Zoro for three days. On Sixis Island, while Zoro was lighting candles for someone who had died, Mister 7 revealed himself to the pirate hunter, who had noticed him long ago. He tried to recruit Zoro for an organization called the Baroque Works, but all his arguments were in vain, as Zoro would only join as number 1. Mister 7 could not take the rejection lying down, as according to Mister 7, anyone who turns down an invitation has forfeited their life. A fight ensued, at the end of which the chanceless Mister 7 was defeated and cut in two with a targeted cut at hip level. The pirate hunter put the split agent in a sack and took him to Shells Town, where he initially left him in a bar and later planned to collect the bounty at the naval base.
Appearance[]
Mister 7 was a young man with brown skin and red hair, which he wore in a spiky mohawk. The number 7 was tattooed on his left cheek, corresponding to his rank in the Baroque Works. Similar to his hair, his clothes were almost entirely red, with a striking ruff. He also wore dark boots.
Powers and Abilities[]
As Mister 7, he held one of the highest ranks within the Billions and was on the threshold of becoming an Officer Agent, the highest ranking within the criminal organization. He faced Zoro in battle and fought with two swords, but he was no match for him. Without a headscarf and with only two swords, the pirate hunter defeated the agent without much effort and killed him.
Trivia[]
- Mister 7 has no direct appearance in the manga and anime and it is only mentioned that he died while trying to recruit Zoro. However, Oda drew him in the SBS for volume 36. It is only a quick drawing, but the hair and the tattoo match.
- In a conversation between Oda and series creator Matt Owens, the topic was how to introduce Zoro. Matt Owens mentioned Oda's comment in the above-mentioned SBS, which Oda had already forgotten about. Oda then made him a full-body drawing of Mister 7 the next day.
