Idaeus Glodell is a minor antagonist in the 2024 JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio. He is of the roussainte tribe. He is a subordinate of Louis Guiabern and a participating member of the Tournament for the Throne. He is also the boss fight of the third arc of the game.

In Japanese he was portrayed by Taishi Murata and in English by Christopher Bonwell.

Biography[]

Glodell is a ambitious and power hungry man who seeks glory above all. He joined Louis purely for the sake of gaining fame and favor from Louis himself, who Glodell both admires and despises, since Louis never seems to favor him.

Glodell however shows himself to be fairly incompetent, bringing a small human head for the Exhibition of the Brave and being shut down since people didnt know what a human really looks like. Because of this, Louis' favor went towards the main party for exposing Joanna, which brought shame onto the Sanctist Church and gaining Louis' favor, a fact that Glodell despised.

Despite this, Glodell is arrogant enough to believe that he can take the throne himself, and overthrow even Louis and Forden with enough power. Despite this, he shows himself to be very cowardly, where in his battle he hold Junah at hostage while having his dog attack the protaginist, while threating that if he fought back, he would kill Junah. Eventually this leads to Junah awakening to her Archetype, bringing about Glodells defeat.

Even after this, he still attempts to kill the protagonist, where he then gets stopped and killed by the kings protective magic.
