Iblis Incarnations, also known as Iblis's Minions, are minor antagonists in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. They are extensions of the fire demon Iblis. created by it and its progenitor Solaris to destroy all who oppose them.
History[]
Past[]
Iblis Incarnation first emerged during the failed Solaris Project 10 years before the events of Sonic '06, when the Flame God was split into Iblis and Mephiles the Dark. They disappeared when Iblis and Mephiles were sealed.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)[]
In the ruined future where Iblis ruled supreme, his spawns continued to serve him and fight off any opposition, such as Silver and Blaze. A few would also emerge in the time period 200 years prior, where Mephiles sent the two to kill Sonic, through unknown means. Mephiles himself summoned an army of Shadows to fight Shadow the Hedgehog and his allies.
After the two destructive gods merged back into Solaris, the restored deity brought time to ruin and spawned even more Iblis Incarnations to serve him. After he was defeated and Sonic and Elise prevented his split into Iblis and Mephiles by blowing out the flame that would become Solaris, it's likely that Iblis Incarnations never came into existence in the revised timeline.
Sonic x Shadow Generations[]
In Sonic Generations, Iblis's Minions continued to emerge in Crisis City, which was pulled from the now aborted timeline where Iblis had managed to destroy the Earth.
In Shadow Generations, Mephiles would similarly summons Shadows to fight Shadow the Hedgehog in an attempt to ultimately secure his place in the timeline.
Members[]
Physiology[]
Iblis Incarnations all take forms of various animals, be it canines, birds or worms, or a more ambiguous humanoid shape. Base forms have an orange color pallete, taking after Iblis, while the stronger ones are purple like Mephiles. All except Shadows utilize fire-based attacks, and sometimes brute force as well.
Behavior[]
Given the monsters are basically their progenitors' extensions, they likely have no mind of their own and only serve their creators' interests.
Trivia[]
- Although the enhanced Iblis's Minions are often believed to have been conjured by Mephiles due to their purple color, no official sources claim that it's the case.
