“ | I am Akivasha! I am the woman who never died, who never grew old! Who fools say was lifted from the earth by the gods, in the full bloom of her youth and beauty, to queen it forever in some celestial clime! Nay, it is in the shadows that mortals find immortality! Ten thousand years ago I died to live for ever! Give me your lips, strong man! | „ |

Biography[]
Book version[]
Whatever her nature, Akivasha's name became legend the world over. She apparently remained in Stygia, eventually coming to dwell in the Temple of Set, in Khemi, the capitol of Stygia. There she dwelled in the shadows, living off of priests, magicians, and virgins captured and brought to her.
When Conan came to the Temple of Set, in search of the Heart of Ahriman, he was pulled aside by Akivasha as he stalked the corridors. At first, he believed her to be just a fair-skinned maiden, and warily followed her when she offered to take him to Thutothemes, who had the Heart. However, within her chambers, as she sought to seduce him, he found the empty sarcophagus of Akivasha, and he realized her true nature. Nonetheless, she entranced him with her tale, and sought to make him her own: "Love me, O Man! Give me your blood to perpetuate my youth--and I will make you too immortal...for I weary of priests and magicians and captive screaming virgins! I desire...a man. Love me, barbarian--love me!" As her teeth pierced his neck, Conan overcame her spell and hurled her away. He drew his sword and threatened to cut her in half if she approached him again. Then her chamber went black and Conan rushed out of it in a mad panic, leaving behind her sweet, hellish laughter.
Film Version[]
At the dawn of civilization, the world was ruled by the evil Empire of Acheron, ruled by demons led by the Witch Queen Akivasha. People were in their power as slaves and food, until the god Valka banished the demons of Acheron to the Underworld along with their mistress. Millennia passed, and in the place of Acheron, the Kingdom of Valusia grew up, in whose capital the Flame of Acheron still burns as a reminder of godless times. One day, King Borna went mad and killed his sons, as his eldest son wanted to sit on the throne. However, Kull intervened and wounded the king. The king died of his wounds, but managed to pass the crown to Kull, which meant the transfer of power. Soon, assassination attempts began to occur on Kull, which were very quickly prevented. One night, the conspirators (led by General Taligaro) are gathered at the gates of the Acheron Monument by the warlock Enaros, an adept of the Cult of Akivasha. He offers the conspirators to participate in a plan more sophisticated than a banal murder - to revive the Witch Queen of Acheron and offer her to Kull as a bride in order to use her to destroy the barbarian king. Enaros revives Akivasha, following the instructions of an ancient scroll, and she restores the burned face of her adept, while launching the mechanism of the new coming of demons into the world. Soon, Akivasha, disguised as the niece of one of the conspirators, magically makes Kull fall in love with her, and he does not listen to Zareta's warnings. That same night, Akivasha stuns Kull and presents him as dead. Zareta is accused of murder. Soon Kull (not without Ascalante's help) manages to escape and save Zareta. Akivasha gives chase. Enaros wonders why Akivasha always chooses men who fail her when he is around. Akivasha returns the burns to Enaros' face. Meanwhile, Taligaro returns with the kidnapped Zareta, who has the breath of the god Valka in her body. Taligaro engages in a fight with Akivasha, which Kull also enters into. Akivasha, meanwhile, finally turns into a demon. Kull kisses first Zareta, then Akivasha, thereby transferring Valka's breath to Akivasha and destroying her.
