- "So good, you'd swear they were made by the Soup People of Tureen VI."
- ―Dexter Jettster, on the quality of his soups
Tureen VI was an astronomical object[2] in the Tureen system of the Outer Rim Territories' Kriz sector.[1] It was the origin of the Soup People, a group known for making high-quality soup. The Besalisk chef Dexter Jettster wrote in the menu for his restaurant, Dex's Diner on the planet Coruscant, that his soups were good enough to make their eaters think they were made by the Soup People of Tureen VI.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- "Silly, but it works as a throwaway reference."
- ―Gregory Walker
Tureen VI was introduced in "Dining at Dex's," a 2009 Hyperspace-exclusive article which was written by Gregory Walker and formatted as an in-universe menu.[2] Walker called it a silly throwaway reference[3] as a tureen is a dish used to hold soup.[4] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Tureen system, and therefore Tureen VI, in grid square J-18.[1]
