Spanner was the loyal companion of Luskin Exovar. He was extensively modified and helped Exovar run Exovar's Emporium.
Biography[]
When Exovar was in the Republic Scout Service, Spanner was a faithful companion and saved Exovar's life multiple times. Exovar had in return saved the droid from certain destruction as well. Since Exovar's retirement, Spanner stayed close to Exovar and helped keep the Emporium running.
Personality and traits[]
He had a feisty personality and had a good sense of humor for a droid. If anyone displayed anti-droid sentiments in Spanner's presence he would use his heavy grasping arm on the droid-hater's backside. Other times he would purposefully unsettle visitors by shifting his vocabulator from electronic barking to an intelligent discourse on the nuances of hyperspace travel.

Spanner was designed by Paul Danner and Bill Smith for Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy, a supplement for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game that was published by West End Games in 1997.
