"With all due respect, Jedi Master Mann, the Hutts are losing ground daily. The R.D.C. has retaken both Ubrikkia and Ookbat in recent days, with Cols expected in a matter of weeks."
―Velko Jahen, to Elzar Mann[2]

The Mid Rim astronomical object[3] Ubrikkia was recaptured from control of the Hutt Clan by the Galactic Republic's Republic Defense Coalition[2] around 228 BBY.[1] Republic Commander Velko Jahen reported the recapture of Ubrikkia—along with the Republic's recapture of the location Ookbat—to Jedi Master Elzar Mann days later.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The recapture of Ubrikkia was mentioned in the first issue of the 2023 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic, released as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase III. The issue was written by Cavan Scott and published by Marvel Comics on November 8, 2023.[4]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY. The events of The High Republic (2023) 1 occur shortly after the events of Temptation of the Force, therefore meaning they must take place around the same year.
