Osk-Trill was an astronomical object whose name was comprised of[1] two letters in the Aurebesh writing system.[2] The celestial body was the homeworld of[1] the human[3] Senator Gall Trayvis, who represented it in the Senate of the Galactic Empire.[1] By 5 BBY,[4] Trayvis had resigned from his position to operate with the Imperial Security Bureau to identify rebel groups and have them rounded by up the Empire.[1]
In 35 ABY,[5] the historian Beaumont Kin wrote and published a book documenting the Empire's rise and fall titled The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire. Within the book's third chapter, titled "The Imperial Senate," Kin mentioned Trayvis and his representation of Osk-Trill.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Osk-Trill was introduced in an excerpt of the 2017 novel Leia, Princess of Alderaan, written by Claudia Gray, that was published in paperback editions of the 2015 novel Lost Stars, also written by Gray.[6] In the final version of the novel, however, the mentions of Trayvis and Osk-Trill were replaced with Senator Cinderon Malpe of the astronomical object Derella.[7] Osk-Trill was later mentioned in the 2024 in-universe reference book, Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that Gall Trayvis resigned from his position as senator of Osk-Trill to operate with the Imperial Security Bureau to round up rebel groups. As "Rise of the Old Masters,"—which Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of to 5 BBY—establishes he had begun this by the time of its events, he must have resigned by that year.
- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
