- "Here there be riches."
- ―Gunda Mabin, Smuggler's Guide
Moldour was an Outer Rim Territories celestial body. It was orbited by several moons, including Moldour 14, which for centuries were used by various individuals to hide personal valuables. By 3 ABY, the clothing items Moldour Thief Belt, Pants, and Vest were all made on Moldour.
The Pirate Queen Maz Kanata at one point buried a treasure vault on Moldour 14, which the pirate captain Gunda Mabin subsequently traveled to retrieve at some point between 19 BBY and 10 BBY. In Moldour's orbit, Mabin's crewmember Patchwork Fiddich launched an unsuccessful mutiny attempt against her, and thereafter she and her crew looted Kanata's vault, with the captain at some point also documenting the visit to Moldour in the Smuggler's Guide logbook.
Description[]
- "For centuries, the moons of Moldour have been the place to stash your stuff."
- ―Chelli Lona Aphra, Smuggler's Guide
Moldour was a terrestrial celestial body[4] located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[2] It had several moons, including Moldour 14.[3]
History[]
- "The instant I slipped the Bloody Bones into a Moldour orbit, Patchwork Fiddich pulled a pistol from his coat."
- ―Gunda Mabin, Smuggler's Guide
By the time of the Galactic Civil War, various individuals had used Moldour's moons for centuries to hide personal valuables. At one point, the Pirate Queen Maz Kanata buried a treasure vault on Moldour 14. She subsequently noted Moldour's location on a map included in the logbook that would come to be known as the Smuggler's Guide.[3] Sometime between 19 BBY and 10 BBY,[5] the Aqualish captain Gunda Mabin of the Blazing Claw pirate fleet acquired the book and circled the Moldour label on its map, commenting on its cache of treasure. She subsequently ordered for her starship, the Bloody Bones, to travel to the moons of Moldour in order to retrieve the treasure.[3]

In orbit around Moldour, Patchwork Fiddich launched an unsuccessful mutiny attempt against Captain Gunda Mabin.
Immediately after Mabin's ship arrived in Moldour's orbit, the pirate Patchwork Fiddich launched a mutiny attempt against the captain; however, Mabin and the crewmembers loyal to her prevailed. After personally retrieving Kanata's treasure from Moldour 14, the pirate captain had Fiddich's remains hung from a cannon of the Bloody Bones, and with the vessel then departing Moldour. Mabin at some point also mentioned the visit to Moldour in an entry she herself added to the Smuggler's Guide.[3]
At some point between 0 ABY and 5 ABY,[6] the Smuggler's Guide fell into the possession of archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra. In an annotation made to Mabin's entry, Aphra noted the historical use of Moldour's moons as locations of buried stashes.[3] By 3 ABY,[7] the Moldour Thief Belt, Pants, and Vest were all clothing accessories that had been made on Moldour for use by criminals and were being sold off-world.[4]
